Education

Every year, the students elect student representatives for the next academic year. These electees represent the students in various education councils of the KU Leuven. For example, there is a POC (Permanente Onderwijs Commissie; Permanent Education Commission) for every diploma you can study - eg. the Bachelor and Master in Physics have the POC Physics, where all important decisions are made concerning that field of study, such as which subjects should be on the program.

In almost every council (including the POCs), there are student representatives. Their task is to defend the interests of the students, and work together constructively together with the professors, assistants, and other academic personnel, to guard and improve the high quality of education here at the KU Leuven.
